We had a very busy week filled with lots of learning and fun. On Wednesday we had our letter of the week poem about the letter R. The children had fun drawing their very detailed pictures of the river running through the rocks.

We had several in-door recess activities this week, due to the lovely and much needed rain that we received. Here are some photos of in-door recess time.

We continued working on our number knight stories this week and we learned about the number 7 and 8. We also had fun with tissue paper, and glue to create beautifully designed “houses” for our family photo collages that we will complete on Monday.

The learners also worked very hard on their small moments this week. The kinders spent time with graphic organizers drawing detailed pictures of the beginning, middle, and ending of their stories. Most of the first graders have now completed their graphic organizers and they working working on their first drafts of their personal narratives.
