This morning we had our second day of the Post Office. Our post office opened on time and ran smoothly. I was so impressed at how calm and peaceful our classroom felt during post office time.
The cost of postage today was three cents for kinders, six cents for first graders, and we also had express mail for twenty-five cents. Many of the learners were quite excited to purchase express mail stamps to challenge themselves by figuring out the cost of postage for six express mail letters.
For garden time today we finished the book we started last week about gardens in the White House. At the beginning of our garden lesson we reviewed what we learned last week and then I finished reading them the book.
The K/1 classrooms all sang songs at the all school assembly today. Our class sang the song “Toni Chestnut” that we have been learning during music time with Ruth over the past few weeks.
